Our Story

Best Restaurant Pleasant Hill, CA

Scott Davis owned and operated Magoos for over 25 years, He sold the restaurant to three young entrepreneurs from the Valley. However, the heritage created by Scott is live and will be maintained.

Magoo's has stood the test of time by going through a series of transformations from a non-descript local watering hole to a legitimate food destination. Eddie Marinelli, formally of Le Virage, was brought in as General Manager, along with his Chef, Yema Nunez, to complete the creation of the perfect neighborhood grill where one can enjoy delicious food, share laughs with family and friends or just unwind with their favorite cocktail.

A beautiful cocktail made with house-made basil simple syrup, Bombay Sapphire gin, and fresh lime juice. Served in a martini glass.

Paloma

One of Mexico's most popular cocktails, the Paloma is a perfectly refreshing combination of sweet and tart. Made with Cazedorez Blanco, grapefruit, lime, and a pinch of salt.

Boulevardier

This classic cocktail has been around forever for a reason! Made with delicious Wild Turkey Rye, sweet vermouth, and campari. Stirred with ice and strained into a chilled martini glass, and finished with a beautiful orange twist.

French 75

The French 75 is a beautiful, bubbly cocktail made with Sipsmith London Dry gin, one of our favorite craft gins! It combines a great gin with fresh lemon, bitters, house-made simple syrup, and is topped with champagne.

Mojito

We make our delicious mojitos the classic way, with fresh mint, lime, and sugar. We also use Bicardi Superior Rum in ours, which makes it that much better. Ask your server what seasonal fruits we are carrying to give your mojito the ultimate twist!
